carmen live on stage
In 1973, Carmen appeared on David Bowie's Midnight Special, with a
dazzling performance of "Bulerias", opening track of their first album.
Two clips from that performance are now availble here at fandangos in space. Considering that the recording is almost 30 years old, and have been transformed and compressed to become available over the web, the quality of the film is amazingly good. But most of all, the whirlwind energy of Carmen's performance and their exceptional musicianship, comes across with full power. The opening scene in mpg format (42 sec, 2,1 MB) Amazing bass work by John Glascock! Note: There's a small cut in the first half of the clip. The dancing sequence in mpg format (45 sec, 2,2 MB) Angela and Roberto in full action. To watch, just click the links. The movie will open in a new window. To download, right-click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac), hold and choose "Download To Disc". Slow connection to the internet? The Real Video files below will load faster, but the picture quality is much lower (the sound, however, is still good). Watch just to catch an idea of what you get if you try the mpg versions.
